After we had explored our wonderings and connected them, we looked at all the sentences and pulled all the key words out which were natural resources that people use. We then went around the classroom and wrote down our first thinking about what we thought we knew about each natural resource on posters comparing past with present. After that, we waited for Mrs Morgan to read them and help us come up with a BIG IDEA question that we could investigate - "How has the way people use natural resources changed over time?" It has taken awhile to get to the BIG question, but we got there in the end. We then watched and practised taking notes from interesting videos showing us new learning about how people use natural resources over time.
