YEAR 2-3 BLUE
Botanical Gardens Excursion
“On Friday 26th March, my class went to the Botanical Gardens in Hobart. The first thing we saw was the Conservatory. In the Conservatory, we looked at different types of plants and there was a beautiful fountain.
Secondly, we all went to see the Cactus Collection. It had all kinds of lovely cacti.
Next, we saw the monument. It made different kinds of patterns in the water. It was nice.
After that, we went to the Japanese Garden to do some sketching. It was quiet. Then we went to an eating place to have lunch and a play.
After lunch, we walked up a steep hill to see the Floral Clock. It was a lovely sight and the time on the clock was 12:45. Lastly, we went to the Lily Ponds. The goldfish were minding their own business.
We hopped back on the bus to go back to school. What a fun day!”

“On Friday, the 26th March, our class went to the Botanical Gardens. Firstly, we (obviously) got off the bus.
Secondly, we went to the Conservatory. Miah, Eliza, Siena and I found small, secret doors.
Thirdly, we went to the Cactus Collection and some cacti were not sharp!
Fourthly, we went to the Japanese Gardens and we started to sketch the beautiful, red bridge. After that, we had lunch under a huge tree. Then we had a look at the Floral Clock.
Lastly, we saw the Lily Ponds. There were lots of lily pads.
After a long day at the Botanical Gardens, we got back on the bus and we played at school”.
