We have been busy little researchers in Kindergarten over the last two weeks, learning about the sun. We have learned that the sun is a ball shape, a sphere!

We have been exploring all of the ways that the sun helps us. The children got together in pairs and drew their thinking. They then shared their work with another pair. The children had some really great ideas; everything from giving us light, to powering solar robots and drying the washing. We also discussed that plants need the sun to grow. We made connections with our previous learning on how rain is made and they realised that we need the sun to make rain as well!

Over the next couple of weeks, we are delving a little deeper in to plants. Including designing some herb gardens for our Kinder playground.
